"The owner/cook puts visibly a lot of pride and effort in his casual restaurant. Portions are huge and generously seasoned. The kitchen has a strong Mediterranean touch; every table has fine olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The dining room is very spacious, and the bar area is a great spot to watch soccer matches on the big screen. Prices are fair. Recommended if passing by!"

"We got bad directions and ended up in the middle of farmland in Bavaria. We got hungry and there was NO PLACE to eat! One nice lady referred us to the next village to Birnbaum. We got here and it was closed. We must have looked very sad...the owner came out and when we asked where we might get food he thought, and realized that there was nowhere close that would be open. He offered to make us some food! We got Wurst salat and the kids got homemade hamburgers! The outside eating area is well done and the menu looks amazing. Stop by and give this guy some business. It's worth the trip!"

"Service: Awesome! "On point" would be a better choice of words. The waiters and the owner of the place made us feel royal. Food: outstanding, tasteful typical Bavarian food! I found, it was well priced. For a massive dish (i.e. schnitzel) and a beer, I paid less than 20 bucks. Location: I am here on a business trip, so I don't know the area well. It was easy to find. If you ask around for Birnbaum, everyone will be able to provide direction. Music: atmospheric, easy and not disturbing Comments: it's a great, refreshing tavern for a cool beer or a cozy dinner. Perfect for a little get together. We were a large group of people (14) and all of our food came straight out of the kitchen, hot and delicious. Would I recommend this place? totally!"

"Outstanding food, service, everything with a smile! This restaurant is a must visit - don’t miss it! Loved the family feeling too. For children there is a playing area outside. You may be seated indoor or outdoor. You may sleep over too - they have 5 cozy bedrooms. Food price is very fair and food is plenty and yummy. They have a party room for approximately 30-40 guests. We had a wedding event here and we were delighted and very impressed. Parking is free of charge. Internet speed is great and free of charge."

"The hosting style that Betty and Toni have in Birnbaum is a true rarity in the gastronomy world today. The sophisticated cozy atmosphere welcomes you from the door. The food...that is another dimension... Chef Toni has kept the quality of old recepies but mastered them in a new wave modern style. All the sauces and all the meet dishes are organic and prepared from scratch. I highly recommend Schweinekrustenbraten and Hawaiian Burger. Me and my family will definitely come back."
